jookie – A “Portrait” for the Community

by Mona B

Not only does Jookie have the Cutest Website, they are also always there for our community!

Presenting “Artistic Photography of your finest Creations”, Jill fills this place with all her heart saying this is her “home”. Named after her niece’s guinea pig “jookie”, this photography shop is special in every way.

It is one of those shops, that still wants to establish a relationship with you and comes up with lots of time to find the right “product”, the way to capture great moments of “your finest creations”, i.e. your children. The treatment that you receive at jookie’s is extraordinary and will turn your day into a unique experience that brings your family together. If you don’t believe it, check out these videos to see how much fun picture taking can be!

Why jookie is a “Portrait” for our Community

jookie is not only a place to get high quality photography services, Jill and her team are also big in supporting the community. With many fundraisers, jookie is always eager to support the community and add a “good cause” to her business. The best prove: This week’s fundraiser “The BookDrive”.

The fundraiser held Saturday, June 30th, from 9:00 am thru 1:00pm at jookie 4656 N Rockwell Ave benefitts the Open Books Store. Open Books is a non-profit social venture dedicated to transforming lives through reading, writing and the driving power of used books. With their innovative reading and writing programs they help thousands of high-need, low-income Chicagoland students each year. The books that you will donate to jookie will support those programs.

Thanks jookie for coming up with this great idea and supporting such a great non-profit!

So, start cleaning off your book shelves and collecting gently used books to bring by jookie. Whoever brings the most books will win a $200 credit for portraits at jookie! Everybody is welcome to participate!

On top of that: jookie holds storytime with our local authors Eileen Favorite at 9:00 am and Amelia Cotter at 11:00 am.

A Lincoln Square Event that you can’t miss! Follow jookie on Facebook and join the event!
